Lyrics

The lyrics:
All of the color drained from my sight with the news. Like shifting plates beneath my feet, it hurt, but what else could we do? So much to fill in, as the painful stories told And as was said, we all have those.
I know that sometimes life don’t turn out like we hoped. Like a collision on the interstate, we’re left as shattered souls. The shock of everything fades into a roar. We stumble on prepared for more.
Maybe your long story Is still a work in progress With revision due out soon. Maybe hidden glories Wait in turns around a road You never thought you’d choose.
Most of the time I’m satisfied with status quo. It’s only in my pain I realize the room I have to grow. I either choose to deepen or to run and hide. Choose to heal or be less alive.
I walked along the lakeshore whipped by windy cold. And in the muddy track along the path, a dirty puddle froze. The clear straight lines of ice, forming all arranged. And beauty rose from a torn-up space.
Maybe my long story Is still a work in progress With revision due out soon. Maybe hidden glories Wait in turns around a road I never thought I’d choose.
At every turn in our circumstance is a chance to get new. Because I know that the author is Hope rewriting me and rewriting you. Rewriting . .
